Open Letter to the 3rd CD Conservatives
Hello fellow Conservative, my name is Keath Huff.
As a Tea Party organizer and long time conservative activist I was appalled by the recent voice mail I received about my friend Jaime Herrera.
You may have received that call as well, and like me you may have thought it came from a Democrat.
Unfortunately it did not, though it was almost word for word the same comments a liberal Democrat recently uttered.
This phone call, with its blatantly false accusations, came from a politician, that much is for sure.
And that is why I am contacting you, I will not sit on the sidelines while another “politician” plays the game of destructive insider politics.
While Jaime has been in Olympia fighting to protect us from the Liberal agenda, including the dismantling of the people’s will on I-960, this politician could not even use his own voice for his propaganda.
I have worked hard with many of you to rid ourselves of the politicians and the political games.
We want conservative statesmen and stateswomen and a process of the people, by the people and for the people.
That is why I am asking you to join me in supporting Jaime Herrera for Congress and help me say “no more” to the politics of old.
Now is the time for the people, now is the time for conservative leadership, now is the time for Jaime Herrera.
For more information about Jaime Herrera, or to find out how you can help, visit Jaime Herrera’s Web Site.

UPDATE
To be clear… The false allegation that Jaime is an absentee legislator is FALSE. The record is clear. Check out her voting record, which is available at washingtonvotes.org
UPDATE 2
Check out the piece written by Liz Mair
“A representative of the Washington State Legislature with whom I spoke
today confirmed that none of the committees on which Herrera serves met
on Thursday; nor were any votes taken in the Washington State House of
Representatives on that day. That, specifically, has one prominent
Republican in the district outraged a…t Castillo’s attack.”

KeathHuff, Jaime Herrera flying off to Washington D.C. for a fundraiser Thursday was reported in the Columbian and it is equally well known that she was absent Tuesday morning to be at a fundraiser in Seattle.
Deb Wallace reported that she misses a lot and has others vote for her. I know this doesn’t set well others who support her, but if true, a voting record would not reveal which way it is.
But, couldn’t fundraisers on her behalf be scheduled for weekends or after the Legislature adjourns a few weeks from now?
Why must they be scheduled when we need ‘all hands on deck’ in Olympia?
Her acceptance of donations from SEIU is available from the PDC as is her votes and co-sponsorship of pro-union bills at http://www.votesmart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?cs_id=24357&can_id=101907

So what? The point of the RoboCalls was that Jaime was not doing her job or missing votes. That is FALSE.
Further, lets not let the details shed light on the facts:
An OpenSecrets.org search shows that neither Herrera nor Castillo has taken money from individuals employed by SEIU in the course of their congressional races as of the last filing period with the FEC.
The the SEIU PAC dollars ($500.00) and Legislation are hardly an indication of a “pro-union” candidate. If it were, we should question Ann Rivers and Richard DeBolt a lot more closely.

Keath, a comment was left on my blog that makes sense to me.
What Republican House member has come forward to verify or defend Jaime not having someone else press her votes, as Deb alleges?
Not saying none have, just I haven’t seen any yet.
Undoubtedly some are really ticked off over the call, but if it isn’t false and Castillo is being attacked in a whisper campaign, is it really out of line?
I understand that with you being a strong supporter of hers you don’t like seeing an unfair attack. But, if it is fair exposure, wouldn’t it be better to just counter with evidence of any falsehoods?
Last I heard, Debolt and Rivers are not in this race, so bringing them in is a strawman, especially given that I don’t see either of them voting for bill to unionize an industry that has declined unions before.
Personally, I’d rather see both camps cease whispering or calling and get down to the issues.
